Using Audity 2000 with Cubase
Selecting Patches,writing automation for A-H parameters,and control the Audity's arpeggiators.

Before you attempt any of the following ,please read the "Instant Gratification" part of Audity's "Operations Manual",then spend one hour or two making yourself comfortable with the unit operations.
 
This will help you set the Emu's Audity with Cubase,especially if you're a new user.
Audity is supported in Cubase with 2 ways.
1.Patch name scripts for easy patch selection ,and
2.Midi Mixer Track scripts supporting the A-H Audity front panel controllers.

Setting the Patch Script
Follow the following steps
1.Insert yours Cubase original CD
If Autostart dialog appears,close it.
2.Run Cubase
3.Click the Arrow in the Left Corner of Arrange Window.
Inspector appears.
4.Click the arrow in Instrument section
5.Select the
i.MIDI channel
ii.MIDI Output  [the MIDI port your Audity is physically attached]
iii.Select PatchName Script for the Pathname Source

5.Click Patchname Device then select Setup.
6.Select emu-audity 2000 v2.0
7.Click OK ,close the dialog and you're done!!
Remember to set the Audity to its multi mode.

Setting the MIDI mixer .
With this setup ,you can control Audity's A-H knobs.
You can also record and playback Automation for any of this controllers.
Again, follow the following steps
1.Insert yours Cubase original CD
If Autostart dialog appears,close it.
1.Select the folder Library\Track Mixer Examples\Others
2.Copy emuaudity2000 to your Cubase Scripts\Trackmixer folder
Typically [if you didn't alter the Cubase folder during the installation] this is
[Your Drive]:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase VST 5.0\Scripts\TrackMixer.
2.Run cubase and create a MIDI track ,with its output set to Audity .
3.From Panels menu,select MIDI Track Mixer.
4.On  the MIDI Track Mixer ,select the off setting then click  Emu Audity 2000 option.
IF YOU HAVEN'T COPIED THE FILE ON STEP 2 ,OR COPIED IT TO IMPROPER FOLDER,THIS OPTION WILL BE NOT AVAILABLE.
5.Set the Automation to Write,play your Audity,replay this part while tweaking the knobs,then set Automation to Play and see for yourself.
 
Controlling the Arpegiator's tempo - Syncin it with Cubase
1.On Audity's front panel press the Clock button
2.Select BASE Tempo
3.Dial the knob and select "Use MIDI (current x)
4.In Cubase click Options menu >Synchronisation ,and set the MIDI CLOCK out to the MIDI Port Audity is connected to
5.In order to use the Arpegiator,you should start playback.
